This little one that we welcomed into the world Saturday night will be heading out to pasture today. We keep them around the barns to make sure the mom is taking care of them. When we see this a few times we know they are good to go.

Huge thank you to everyone who came out Saturday for our cookout and car show. Blessed with an awesome day weatherwise. What a turnout of cars and trucks. Thanks to the York Antique Car Club for an awesome show. Not quite a record number of vehicles signed up but really close to the most that has ever signed up here. Congratulations to these winners.
1st place: Doug Keller 1936 coupe
2nd place: Brady Shenberger 74 Nova
3rd place: Ed German 65 Barracuda
Thanks to all that brought their vehicles out for everyone to enjoy.
Also wanted to give a shout-out to our whole crew inside and out. These cookouts put a pretty good extra burden on our crew but everyone steps up to the plate. We start ordering rolls and supplies 2 weeks in advance, then the Thursday before the cookout Neta and the butcher shop crew cuts all the meats. Friday Dana comes and preps the "shed" and sharpens the slicers. Friday night a good friend of ours Andrew comes and helps load the cookers and inject the meats (he even brings beer which is a win win). Saturday at 3 am Rich and I take the three cookers to the store and fire them up. By 7 am Neta and I's kids along with my second wife Dawn (don't tell nobody 😅) come to start the day, slicing the meats and bagging rolls.(Brit's actually our only child but we claim the rest of them as ours as well). We couldn't do these events without not only our regular employees but all the friends and family that step in to help out. So thanks to everyone inside the store and out at the shed who puts in the extra effort to serve you on these special days. And thanks to you all for coming out. The next cookout and car show will be Saturday July 11th and Rocky 98.5 will be here and we'll still be celebrating America's 250th birthday.
