We are so sad to announce that Tuesday, AUGUST 12th will be our FINAL DAY FOR THE 2025 BLUEBERRY SEASON. We have reached the point where we cannot support another public 'pick'.

We have had some unusual circumstances this year. First of all, it has been the most productive year we have had in our 40 years of operation. However, with Canadians not crossing the border and the tourists not traveling as much, we have not had the pickers. A unique situation to say the least...

We will be open from 8-2:00 or most likely until we get picked out.

As usual we will supply all containers.

Think of us in mid July 2026

ATTENTION: OPEN DAYS COMING UP.

The picking is still very, very good this year. WE HAVE NEVER HAD PEAK LAST THIS LONG (3 WEEKS). We'd so appreciate it if you see some neighbors or friends to tell them about our little patch. The berries need to be picked... PLUS, THERE ARE FEWER TOURISTS IN THE AREA THIS YEAR.

Thank you for your help on this very unusual problem!

Well, we guessed wrong, but it is a good thing. Farmer Don feels we are experiencing a second peak as the berries are sustaining themselves and just keep producing and ripening. We've had more positive comments than ever. What an exciting year this is!
Thank you to many who have been here several times. The fruit does need to get picked!!! Thank you for your support this year.

We launch our 2025 season tomorrow at 8:00am. We love opening day. The farm is electric with many who can not wait to get their annual fix of Farmer Don's lovely blues. Warning! It can be hectic around here on the first day. There have been years that we had 250 eager beaver pickers show up. Reminder that we will assign each family their own row. Please stay within the perameters you are given to help us keep a handle on everyone's progress. It is hard for it to NOT FEEL W***Y NILLY BY THE END OF THE MORNING WHEN PICKERS START WANDERING HERE, THERE, AND EVERYWHERE! Thank you in advance...

We are scurrying around readying for our OPENING DAY! THE BLUES ARE READY FOR YA...
OPENING DAY WILL BE TUESDAY, July 15, 8:00-noon.
FRIDAY, July 18, 8:00-noon.
SATURDAY, July 19, 8:00-noon.

We've tried to keep our expenses at bay, but in the end our costs have gone up. These are the prices we are posting for 2025:

One quart/ $10.50
Four quart pail/$40.00
(If you bring your pail back from last year/$38.50)
Six quart tray/$60.00

We are so looking forward to seeing you again this year. The bushes are laden and they are eager to be picked BY YOU!

GREETINGS! The 2025 Blue season is nearly upon us. The berries are not ready yet, but Farmer Don is actively gearing up for opening. Updates will be given on our home phone number (207.363.3415) and on The Friendly Blueberry Patch on facebook. Choose the option "FOLLOW' to receive notifications when we have posted an update.

I should mention that after we are open on some days we get completely picked out and have to be closed for the next couple days so the fruit can ripen, so it always pays to check in here before you make the drive over...

August 6, 2024:
Let me explain our closure this year...By Saturday, August 3rd our supply had dwindled, and ultimately we were picked out that morning.
(Even though we had limited pickers to one quart per family. OUCH!!) We had hoped for one more day of picking...

You may wonder WHY? In a word, the birds and deer have won this year as they have enjoyed "fine dining" in the patch during the days and nights!!! Thus, we can not sustain another picking day for the public. (FY
I: We are usually OPEN for 16 non-consecutive days, but this year only 9 days!!!!)
As always, we thank you for your patronage and regret that our closure was so sudden. We prefer to give more notice. We are always saddened when this day comes.

LOOK for us next year around mid-July of 2025.
