All that remains of our pastured sows is muddy rub marks on sow huts. We are taking down all the fences, grading everything and reseeding for better pastures.

It's a small sad moment looking around and not seeing the sows but we are excited for what the future holds. Don't forget we will still have butcher hogs and roasting hogs.

*shes found a future home!

This is our last remaining sow. She's one that didn't find a new home so we're going to be farrowing her. Once she has weaned her piglets she will be looking for a new home too.

After she's done in our farrowing house we are hoping it's not to cold to start our drainage/remodel project on our farrowing house. We will keep everyone posted.

We will have butcher hogs and roasting hogs available. We are only getting out of breeding for the time being. Thank you everyone!

Plant a wall of sunflowers between you and the garden. That way if it gets away from you you won't see all the weeds. Our potatoes got away from us and that's OK because all I see is pretty sunflowers!

Clementine is living her best cow life this summer. Enjoying all the fresh grass and full access to pasture when ever she wants. She was finally bred for an early fall calf. Due to some issues this spring we dried her off early which means she got to spend her summer on pasture and not being milked. Her only complaint was no barn fan to herself. šŸ¤£
