Other than air and water, soil is our most vital resource. The power of microbial activity and fungus is astonishing. What may look like a bunch of weeds and garbage is actually doing something beneath… making soil!

Good morning! What a beautiful cool day! I figured I’d talk about corn… Popcorn in this particular case.

We eat a good amount of it in our house, so it makes sense to grow it too!

What’s your favorite way to make and eat popcorn? We plan to harvest and sell some this coming fall, so if you’re a popcorn fan, let us know! We’d love to sell you some of ours and get your feedback as to how you like it!

It’s been a couple weeks, but i felt we should make a video to go over our turkey!

Fall is rapidly approaching and it will be soup season soon! Nothing better than turkey soup and turkey pot-pie!

Our garlic cured nicely! We have a limited amount and are selling it currently!

It’s $15 a lb.

These are enormous, hard, and very flavorful cloves that we organically grew here on our farm.

Did you know most garlic from grocers is grown in china? I’m sure they are good farmers, but why not try fresh local garlic and support a family farm right here in York county.

A lot of these heads are good enough to be seed quality, meaning you can plant it this fall for your own harvest next season!

Even though it adds extra work; I do always like the rule breakers, the rebels, the ones that know rules are meant to be challenged and broken when necessary! Just like this turkey.

What rule in life do you not follow? My list is too long to write 😂.

Happy farmer Friday!

I go over why I love pastured poultry, and it’s integral part in our farms evolution over the past 10 years.

Also, we’ll be having some fresh turkey in coming weeks! If you’ve never had a pastured turkey, you’ll be delighted to try some of ours! I’ll post when we have it available!

Happy Saturday! Turkeys are out! It’s not as bad as hearing the pigs are out. I took the opportunity to move them to some fresh grass and fill their water. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
