As fall is settling in, we get to experience sunsets like these. I’m thankful for a picture in the sky to remind me of Gods master plan. Regardless of how productive the day was, it’s well worth the time to sit, enjoy, and commune with our Heavenly Father. Thank you lord for all the blessings, especially the magnificent colors you created for us to enjoy.

Our replacement pullets came today! These girls will start to lay eggs in a few weeks! They’ll have several weeks until the weather changes to enjoy some pasture, then it will be time to bed down for the winter. We hope they enjoy the weather before it turns cold!

Do you take vitamins? What are you deficient in? For ducks, they’re deficient in vitamin b3, or also know as niacin.

I add niacin to their water daily. It’s water soluble and it makes a big difference in their overall health and vitality!

I can’t believe our two oldest kids are so grown up. Even though we homeschool, they were able to attend homecoming at spring grove. Glad they got to clean up and go have some fun. I was sure to put on my cleanest work clothes for the occasion as well 😂.

Happy farmer Friday! This week I talk about our John Deere 68 feed cart. I bought this several years back, and so happy I can finally use it!

I love farming, but hate it when you come out and you have a flat tire… seems like daily I’m battling them 😂. California Heritage Farms, how often do you have flats? Daily grind is fine, but I get “deflated” having to fix so many tires 😂.

Our alfalfa has sprouted and is starting to get established on the field. Let’s hope we can get a few more weeks of good weather before frost sets in!

Some afternoon all you can eat salad bar. Sometimes it’s fun to just sit back and listen to all the noises pigs make 😆
