To all early archery hunters:
If you shoot a deer in the early archery season while it is warm, please take the following steps to insure that your meat is good.
Remove hide and get in to refrigeration if possible. If not, remove ALL entrails (including re**um, lungs, genetalia). Fill chest cavity with as much ice as possible and put ice between hind legs. try to keep covered with a tarp or other breathable material to keep flies away until you can get the carcass properly taken care of. Also, don't be afraid to clean the chest cavity with a hose. Doing this will help to insure that we can continue to provide you with the best possible deer products with minimal loss of meat.
