A little story time!
Founder Toni Calderone comes from a long line of food entrepreneurs. Her Sicilian immigrant family owned the first pizzeria in York County, Pennsylvania, along with a grocery store, a food truck, and a donut shop. Food isn't just in her blood — it's her legacy.
In 2014, after more than a decade in the hospitality industry, Toni opened Tutoni’s: a farm-to-table Italian restaurant in downtown York rooted in her family’s old-world traditions. She built it on scratch-made food, premium ingredients, and a passion for bringing people together around the table. This is where the Tutoni's Flour Shop scratch noodle was born- out of an effort to both honor the old world and be efficient and unique in the new world.
Toni’s journey hasn’t been easy. After losing her mentor and best friend, her father, she weathered the pandemic — one of the most devastating times for the restaurant industry — by taking her pasta and sauce and selling it door-to-door from her food truck while her community was on lockdown. After this hurdle, she faced a whole new wave of personal and professional challenges, including a divorce and thus the loss of management of her flagship restaurant. But her story is far from over.
Today, Toni is rebuilding with grit, heart, and purpose. She’s determined to fulfill her plan to take fresh pasta nationwide — not just for her own dreams, but to build a foundation that her three young children can thrive on. Tutoni’s Flour Shop brings the same care and craftsmanship from her restaurant kitchens into homes everywhere with small-batch, scratch-made pastas that are 100% safe to feed you and your family just as she feeds hers.
