I have seen different posts about whether or not the scent of a banana mimics the scent of pheromones released under a stressful situation in the hive. I decided to do a small experiment and test the theory myself 🤣 I don’t believe they felt threatened nor did the scent of the banana trigger a defense from the colony. In fact, they seemed almost curious 🧐 watch for the little “breadwinner” coming in at the end PACKING the pollen! 🐝❤️

We really enjoy the observation hive…it allows you to keep tabs on the colony’s progress without opening the hive and disturbing their hard work 🐝❤️
