We only have her here for a couple weeks before she and mom go on a trip to Minnesota for about two months this summer. Callie did such a great job we're sending her out there for next year's cria!

We had a surprise yesterday afternoon! Callie decided that it would be a good idea while we were gone for a funeral three hours away to give birth to her cria 12 days early! Thank you to Compass Rose Ranch - Mary Curtis for the assistance in checking her out and making sure that both mom and cria were healthy while we drove home.

We have decided to honor our mother by naming the cria after her.

Welcome Louise to the Lucky Clover Farm family! Her barn name will be Lou-Lou

She was born at 9.2 pounds which is rather small for an alpaca but she's strong! She is already getting up and nursing on her own which is very reassuring.

This weekend is our last show for the spring, after this it's shearing, then cria season (BABIES!) The show is open to the public, and you can see so many different alpacas!
