🎉 Happy 19th Birthday, Auri! 🐐🐂🤎💛

Today we get to celebrate someone who has become such an important part of Pocket Change Cattle Company.

For three years, Auri has been our girl—the one who sees about our dairy goats and Beefmaster cattle, makes sure they’re cared for, and handles whatever needs handling around Pocket Change. She started with us so young, and today we have the privilege of watching her turn 19 years old.

Auri, you are so much more to us than the girl who takes care of the animals. You are family. We have watched you grow, learn, take responsibility, and become a young woman we are incredibly proud of.

There are some people who simply show up for work, and then there are people who become part of the story. You are part of the Pocket Change story.

Three years of caring for our animals and so mych more.
Three years of growing right alongside us.
And today—19 years young with so much still ahead of you.

Weaning season can be one of the most stressful times for young kids, and stress can quickly open the door to scours and coccidia issues.

As part of our herd health program, we do utilize Baycox (Toltrazuril) off-label when needed during weaning transitions. We do so carefully, responsibly, and with proper precautions and management practices in place.

But medication is never the full answer. Healthy kids start with:
• Clean environments
• Strong nutrition & minerals
• Low-stress handling
• Proper observation
• Preventative herd management

Every farm develops protocols that work best for their herd, and this has been one tool that has helped support healthier transitions for ours.

Healthy goats don’t happen by accident — they are built through consistency, stewardship, and proactive care.
