💗🎀 Celebrating Pink October at YCUSD Nutrition Services! 🎀💗

Our amazing YCUSD Nutrition Services team has been busy making scratch-cooked cinnamon rolls topped with pink frosting for our students in honor of Pink October and Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 💕

We love finding special ways to bring a little extra sweetness to our school meal program while recognizing an important cause. A huge shoutout to our talented kitchen staff for putting so much time, care, and love into making these special treats for our students! 🩷

Together, we wear pink, spread awareness, and support those affected by breast cancer. 💗🎗️

We just have to share how proud we are of our amazing Lead Cook/Grill Master! 🔥🍗

Look at this incredible lunch entrée served to our students at Gray Avenue Middle School last week! This dish includes locally sourced protein from the Country Butcher, grilled chicken, rice, and fresh broccoli — prepared with care and served up with pride. ❤️

We think most people would have a hard time believing this is school food! 😉 This is what happens when you have talented, passionate team members who take pride in what they do and go above and beyond to make mealtime special for our students.

We are so proud of the talent and dedication within our YCUSD Nutrition Services team! 👏❤️

Our YCUSD Nutrition Services team thoroughly enjoyed being part of this year’s Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau’s Annual Farm Day at the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds! 🍎🍌🍐🍓🍇🥝🥑🥒🌱🐄🚁

It was a wonderful day of connecting with our community, celebrating agriculture, and helping students learn where their food comes from. We are especially grateful to the YCUSD FFA student volunteers from YC High School and River Valley High School who joined us and helped make the day such a success. Your enthusiasm, hard work, and willingness to lend a hand were truly appreciated!

Thank you to everyone who helped make Farm Day such a memorable experience. We look forward to continuing to grow our Farm to School partnerships throughout our community! 💚🚜🌽🌱🌾🐴 🐮🐐🍑🍎🍊🍏🍓🍍

Happy Farm Day Eve-Eve! Only two more sleeps before we take over the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds for our annual Farm Day Event! 🚜🐮🐥🐴

We have over 40 presenters lined up for local 3rd grade students to learn all about our local agriculture, and we couldn't be more excited to greet them Friday morning!
