Just when you think it’s time to rest, the waterline bursts and you have to grab a flashlight. As a farmer you need to wear many hats, I’m just lucky to have some experience with this one. Grateful to get a chance to dust off the old plumbing skills and wade down into the muck! It’s funny how God works. We had a blast making this repair!

The mulch has caused all sorts of headaches but we have the fall flower area mowed, cleared and plowed. We will be finishing with the harrow next and planting out sunflowers, amaranthus, gypsophila and centaurea seed for a beautiful, blooming fall you-pick experience. We’re open tomorrow (thurs) from 9-4 and still have zinnias. Hope to see y’all out here💐💐🍅

The store might be closed, but work on the farm never stops. We just pulled up all the electronet and are getting ready to remove all of our leftover melons and vines for fertilizer. Then we’re gonna mow and spread the mulch out from the rows. After that we’ll plant our fall flowers in these same beds. Our next round of melons will be harvesting in about a month, further updates to come!
