“Know what you’re buying. This picture has store beef(left), and farm beef(right). There is an obvious visible difference between the two but the differences don’t stop there!

1. You may notice the color difference in the picture. The store bought is pumped full of additives and preservatives, including propyl gallate, to protect against spoilage due to long term air exposure.

2. There isn’t a guarantee of where that beef came from, OR how many cows are in it.

Yes, it may have the USDA label on it but as long as that animal was packaged in the US, it can be called a Product of the USA.

And yes, the meat in the left package is not from one single cow, rather scraps from multiple cows. It may have come from Argentina, Canada, or Brazil.

3. The beef on the right is fresher, darker and is farm raised beef. It is filled with more nutrients & flavor. The ground is also from one cow and not just low quality scraps from multiple cows.

Duck Eggs vs. Chicken Eggs 🍳
Duck eggs are larger in size than chicken eggs. The whites in chicken eggs have a higher water content (more runny) than the whites in duck eggs. Duck eggs have larger yolks and a higher yolk-to-white ratio than chicken eggs.

Yes, they are different from each other, so I am gonna break it down quick:

🦆 Duck eggs are GREAT for baking.
🐓 Chicken eggs have thinner shells.
🦆 Duck eggs are larger and richer than 🐓 chicken eggs.
🐓 Chickens are prolific layers year-round if taken care of correctly, but 🦆 ducks are as well with much less light necessity.
🦆 Duck eggs stay fresh longer because of their insanely thick shell.
🦆 Duck eggs contain 30% more protein and a different type of protein than 🐓 chicken eggs, so if allergic to chicken eggs, most can eat duck eggs and vice versa.
Ounce for ounce, 🦆 duck eggs contain more Omega-3, Vitamins A and D, fatty acids, choline, folate, and iron than 🐓 chicken eggs.
🐓 Chickens lay well for about 1-2 years, then dramatically start slowing down production, while 🦆 ducks lay solid for 4-5 years before they slow down.
🐓 Chicken eggs come in a lot more colors.

Do you know that we homogenize milk only to make it LOOK more appealing?
When milk is homogenized, the milk fat molecules are broken down and suspended throughout the milk, preventing separation. In this process, it destroys the structure of the milk, think of a boulder being pulverized into sand. Homogenization became popular in the 1920, before that all milk was creamtop, like in this photo, meaning you had to shake the jar to mix the cream back into the milk. You can still have pasteurised milk that has not been homogenized, if (raw) real milk is not your thing. Processing and destroying a perfect natural food just so you don’t have to shake a jar or see the cream is just weird.
Look for cream top or non-homogenized milk next time you shop!

This cabbage displays the sacred math of the universe and my son learned about this today while cutting some up.

Getting ready to harvest truckloads of this fine Tete Noire cabbage and when sliced gives a gorgeous Fibonacci sequence. Tete Noire is A rare variety rarely seen outside of Europe and it is the primary red cabbage varietal that I grow.

But Mark , what’s the Hades is the Fibonacci sequence?

The fibonacci sequence is a sequence of numbers made by adding the previous two together to get the next number in the sequence.

eg: 1 + 2 = 3, 2+3=5, 3+5=8, 5+8=13

and so on, resulting in a sequence (that starts with zero)

0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34……

Fibonacci sequences appear in biological settings, such as branching in trees, arrangement of leaves on a stem, the fruitlets of a pineapple,the flowering of artichoke, an uncurling fern and the arrangement of a pine cone,and the family tree of honeybees. Kepler pointed out the presence of the Fibonacci sequence in nature, using it to explain the (golden ratio-related) pentagonal form of some flowers. Field daisies most often have petals in counts of Fibonacci numbers.
If we use the fibonacci numbers to make a spiral we can see it growing and see how the cabbage got to where it is and how all plant growth relates to it.
