Just a tad late….but wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope 2026 brings peace, joy and prosperity to all 🎊🍾

Although we have been away from the public eye for several months now, I think it important to know that we appreciate all the love and support you have given us and we will never take that for granted.

When we stepped back, I knew it wouldn’t go completely away. As a matter of fact, we have been quite busy behind the scenes with small projects. One of them being to learn and perfect my sausage making skills. Although sausage seems quite basic, there is a lot to it and opens the door for creativity (which I enjoy!). Sausage making is foremost a science. When working with spices and cures, one wrong move can ruin the whole thing. There is a process to it, data driven and consistency is king.

I am proud to say I recently took the first baby step and made my own Bratwurst specifically for our New Year’s Day dinner. And the results were 🔥. Could it be better? Absolutely. But it wasn’t a complete failure. So I’ll consider it a win.

I can see many more special recipes in my future and I can’t wait to do more. Once I have more time under my belt, I will definitely share with everyone. I might even need to recruit some unbiased taste testers to help dial things in.

In the meantime, let me know if you or anyone you know have experience with Craft Sausage making. It’s a great way to share experiences and techniques that can only help us all improve. Maybe this will open the door for other future opportunities 🤔🤠

All 6 Chefs are locked in and I can assure this will be a night to remember.

There will be a Wine Pull, Silent Auction, Cash Bar and of course the spotlight, 6 local chefs competing for the title of “Best Chef of Muskingum County” which you will sample their dishes and vote on your favorite!
I have been personally blessed with taking this title for the last 3 years in a row. So it will be very special to see a new face with the award this year 🏅

So….it’s been a while 😬
Life has been busy lately but who doesn’t love a positive story?
I’ve tried to make some better choices (health wise) and been on a weight loss journey. As of Sunday, I’m down 25lbs in 3 months. No jab or crazy pills. Just low carb plus increasing my exercise per day. I can’t take all the credit, because my wife has been a big supporter as well.
But I come here today, not to bore you with that, but share the fact that diet meals don’t have to be completely boring.
Tonight, I put together a spread of
➡️smoked and braised beef short ribs with a red wine reduction sauce
➡️mashed cauliflower
➡️roasted brussel sprouts⤵️
➡️appetizer of stuffed mushrooms.
For the total meal as shown (including appetizer) was only a total of 10 carbs and 1300 calories 🤠
Diet meals aren’t always this good, but it’s one day at a time 💪🏼

How’s everyone doing? We sure do miss all of you ❤️

As we roll through September, that means Taste of Muskingum is a little over a month away! You all know how much I look forward to this event. But this year will be a little bit different for us. Instead of competing this year, we will be volunteering to help give back to the community that gave so much to us.

For anyone that has joined us over the last 3 years, knows how amazing this event truly is. And if you have never been to this event, you are missing out! There are silent auction items to bid on, a wine pull and the main event which includes sampling dishes from local chefs and voting on your favorite to be crowned “Best Chef of Muskingum County”!

There are limited tickets available for this event so I am sharing the link below where you can buy individual tickets, group tickets or business sponsorship tickets ranging in different quantities. I hope to see as many of our followers there as possible to encourage these awesome Chefs who work so hard at what they do.
