Last year we had plenty of rain right until it started to count, and then the dry spell came on right as our beans started to make. We lost so much production it hurt.

This year, what did pull through the dry spell is just starting to put on right as we get this rain. Praise God!

I have lost alot of plants this year, but I'm able to replant most and probably have a better harvest later in the season. The corn wasn't really anything I could offer yall, but I got plenty of ugly cobs we can enjoy for the winter.

Fingers crossed for the butterbeans. I know I'm not alone in loving those!

I've got a few 4 quart bags on green beens available today. These are some of the nicest ones I've had this season.

They would be perfect on the grill in a foil packet with some butter, garlic, and parmesan!🤩

Some of yall are about to be jealous, but I have recently discovered that some of the followers on this page just don't know!

What we have here is the filet mignon of vegetables! Butterbeans and okra grown in Franklin county soil.❤️

I planted a 200 foot row of butterbeans about 6 weeks early, just so I could have first dibs this year.

Don't yall worry, there's more coming shortly. But if you could say a little prayer it would help. Either for the Lord to send us more good rain, or for him to give me strength to keep pulling these drip hoses around.

We took a trip out to Flying G arena last night for their first rodeo, and had a ball!

They are riding again tonight, and you ought to go see them! Take a folding chair and get there a little early. I think it's Goldsand FD and a local church doing concessions, along with a few others.

Just an update.....

We are still growing our gardens. That being said, this dry spell stunted everything I did have about to produce.

As always, our beans are doing great. I should start having green beans next week with purple hull peas coming in behind them.

Please say a prayer for your local farmers and that the Lord will send us some rain.
