What an interesting evening on the farm. 🐐✨❤️

We came home from Cole’s game and were greeted with the sweetest surprise… two brand new little members of the farm — baby goats! 🤍🐐❤️

Lately farm life has been full of long days, muddy boots, chaos, and unexpected moments like this that make it all feel so special.

I Get To…...

What a mindset change.

Honestly, farm life has felt really hard lately. Yard work, projects, end-of-school activities, games, puppy training, gardening, animal feedings, maintenance… the list goes on and on. 🤪

I catch myself more than I want to admit feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and even questioning my decision.

Is this farm life really for me? Am I even equipped for this at my age?

As I sat there having a little self-pity party and feeling defeated, a small voice whispered…"But you get to”..
😇

I took a moment and looked around I saw the sun peeking through the morning clouds, and I said it out loud:
“I GET TO.”

In recovery, gratitude is essential. It has to be part of my daily life to stay clear-minded, focused, and grounded.

So today, and every day moving forward, I want to start my mornings saying:

Thank You, God, that I get to…

✨️Get up early and have coffee.☕️
✨️Have puppy cuddles.🐾
✨️See the sunrise.🌞
✨️Hear the birds and the rooster crow.🐦
✨️Feed, and of course talk to, my animals. 🐶🐈🐖🐐🐓🫏
✨️Listen to the peace and quiet around the farm.

God never promised life would be easy, but He continues to remind me that it is worth it.

Today I am grateful for this second chance at living a life with purpose… where I get to be a farmer, a mama, and a child of God still learning every day.

And I don’t want to forget to ask Him daily:
Lord, what can I do here on this farm for Your glory and Your purpose?

Not Alone:

One of the first steps in my healing and recovery journey was realizing that I wasn’t alone.

In the spiral of addiction, wrapped in isolation and darkness, I felt overwhelmed, defeated, and broken.
BUT GOD…brought people into my life who helped me see that I wasn’t walking this road alone. Those who had struggled with addiction too. People who understood.🙏 And through them, God gave me a glimpse of hope and strength.

It was like a small light in the distance. Slowly, I began to open up and believe that healing was possible… that there really could be a brighter light at the end of this dark tunnel. 💡

Through friends and recovery meetings, my eyes started to open. Little by little, truth was revealed in small but powerful ways. Their strength encouraged me, and all I had to do was admit my addiction and be open to a new way of living in recovery.

Today and every day, I am beyond grateful for the people God placed in my path at the beginning of my recovery. They helped me when I needed it most.

You know who you are. ❤️😇

Ever feel broken… and alone?
Like you’re just not okay?

Friend, I feel that more times than I’d like to admit.

But today, reflecting on Gospel of John 16:33, I was reminded life will have trouble. There will be heartbreak and grief. And that’s not a failure of faith… it’s part of living in a broken world.💔🌎

Jesus already knows your heart.❤️
He sees the hurt, the anxiety, the heaviness—and He doesn’t shame it.
He welcomes it.

Being broken doesn’t mean you’re weak.
It means you’re human.
Pain is real… but it doesn’t get the final say.
And you are not carrying it alone.
So today, stop pretending you’re okay if you’re not.
Let it out. Bring it to Him—raw and unfiltered.
He will meet you right there. He is just one prayer away.

🤍 Be still… and let Him be your strength when yours feels gone.
