Congratulations Aubrey on a storybook ending to a fantastic and very decorated show career. Aubrey is the youngest of 3, and ended her and her families show career by exhibiting the grand champion market lamb, the grand champion market steer and the grand champion market goat this last week at Parker County—TX!!!
It is never easy seeing a family age out of our sport, and I know the Mayes family is going to miss the stock show scene [and all that it involves,] but actually the stock show world is going to miss the Mayes family even more. They truly don’t make them any better—if you ever had the pleasure to do business, visit with, or travel with any of the Mayes’ you are the lucky one!!!
We are sad to see such a great family retire, but we also cannot wait to continue to see the great things to come!!!

Fun fact—when Les and Lisa started looking for show goats for their oldest Blaze (we won’t list a year 🤫) they were introduced to Jamie’s grandfather, John Smith—and that’s where they started—I love the way their story began and ended! It’s a very full-circle moment for everyone!!! 🫶
