I am always leary of places saying "authentic Mexican food".
I am especially leary of mall food courts advertising as such.
But this did not disappoint! I am impressed and pleased. My palate is happy. I orders tacos of course. The name implies that would be their specialty. Lengua, buche, and carnitas. Authentic indeed! They also have coctel de fruta, churros and more. They are located inside Westshore Plaza in Tampa and they still have a food truck somewhere. Check out their Facebook or insta.

I have also tagged the only other authentic Mexican food I have ever found inside a mall and that’s The Taqueria Company in Evansville IN! Yes they are our friends but I would totally eat the food even at full price I swear!

Do you ever want to play a little pool and eat decent food? Well now you can at The Green Between in Zephyrhills!
This is not a bar. They do serve beer and wine. You can play pool... or not. You can even bring the kids. Family friendly spots with good food AND fun are rare.
What you see here is the steak and cheese sandwich. Think Philly cheese steak with provolone but less greasy. YUM! The fries were good but could have been a little more crispy for my preference. The appetizer sampler did not disappoint. For a very fair price I got to try 3 items... I chose mozzarella sticks, fried pickles, and onion rings. All were cooked up to perfection! The owner is a Navy vet and zhills native so go support him!

I had read conflicting reviews on Facebook ranging from cold food and poor service to "make you slap yo mama"🤪
I will say I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was flaky and minimally processed and hand breaded (I think). They had a wide range of sauces with heat levels (think zaxbys).
The okra was fried perfectly and I don't say that lightly because I am an okra snob. 😁
What you see here is the side of regular Mac and cheese and it was creamy and delicious. I will be back. I suggest you give it a try! Let's go eat!

Hello fellow eaters! Miss me? Lol
I promise I have been eating. Alot!
This food post is made possible by Takeria Alexander all the way down in Bradenton.
I realize that is closer to Manatee Bay than Tampa Bay but so worth the drive. Tacos, tortas, gorditas, tamales and my personal fav... authentic barbacoa and consomė. The barbacoa was tender and delicious. The consomė was flavorful and had garbanzos as it should. Highly recommend them. Oh and they were so kind and attentive too.
