Mas Chappell Winery Mas Chappell's Limited Offerings of Micro Sized Artisan Yakima Valley Vigneron Wines Punch down fermented, cold soaked & fermented with native yeast.

Mas Chappell will have its initial offerings of very limited (1-3 barrel lots) of Yakima Valley Red Wines. Aged in mainly French Oak Chateau & Burgundy Style barrels. Red wines received minimal filtration, whites receive standard white wine filtration (sterile). MC cold soaks all our wines on native yeast throughout primary fermentation unless we feel that the native yeast aren't doing the job the

n we will inoculate with a special commercial yeast strain. All MC wines are 100% vineyard, vintage, varietal wines. MC has only 1 Red Blend wine&1 White Blend wine. MC wines have received double gold,gold,silver medal awards at Major wine competitions in the Northwest. MC continues to support Northwest Wine Competitions. Aug.29, 2026, YOYO Legions, yes, I know its the weekend before Labor Day Weekend. These last days of summer sometimes can be the best time to pickup tasty fruits and vegetables to go with Mas Chappell delicious wines. I've found donut peaches, jalapeno peppers, huge peaches at Yakima area fruit stands. Small town fruit stands feature produce grown in the stand owners garden&orchard. Yakima still has outstanding pears, apples ready to eat or bake into pies, cakes, etc.
Weather Update: Temperatures have dropped into the low to mid 70's daytime and low 60's night time, sunny days and low temps make for intense flavored wine grapes and fruits and vegetables. We're very fortunate to be able to enjoy all that Yakima Valley has to offer residents&visitors to the greatest fruit growing zone on Planet Earth.

Aug.13, 2026,YOYO, Legions MC has your pallet covered.My winery neighbors also make yummy wines for current enjoyment. MC has your taste buds covered. Have newer wines along with 10-15+year old wines everybody loves to taste. Maybe its the native yeast used to ferment our red&white wines that makes us standout from our neighbors?
Maybe its that the majority of our wines win awards at major state wine contests. Gold, Silver, Bronze medal winning wines, produced in limited quantities sold only at the producing winery. Tasting room operated and staffed by a 45 year winery veteran answering your every question so you better understand our unique wines to their ultimate. If there's some wines MC doesn't produce, then we'll do our best to recommend a neighboring winery that produces the wine you are seeking.
After 20 years working in Napa&Sonoma, plus 25+years living and working in Yakima Valley I continue to learn how this great winegrowing region produces some of the greatest wines made in the world and feel fortunate to be able to share these vinous gems with my family, friends, customers. July 30,2026, YOYO Legions, I'm back. Just read NY Times article saying Cali grape growers pulled out 38,000 acres of Pinot Noir due to declining wine and grape sales. Young people are changing from wine to low/no alcohol drinks&beer, mixed drinks, etc.
The Movie, "Sideways", starring Paul Giamatti championed Pinot Noir wines and downplayed other Cali Reds. Pinot Noirs made in California sales exploded and were sold out. However, high priced Pinot Noir has always had a very small market share. The last few years thousands of tons of Pinot Noir remained unpicked. Early 1980's I could only afford Pinot Noir/Zinfandel grapes Cab Sav grapes were twice as expensive. Luckily, Sangiacomo's family sold me great Pinot Noir grapes and I didn't goof them up and the resulting Pinot Noir wine was well received and sold out shortly after release.
FYI - Mas Chappell has been making Pinot Noir in Washington State since 2010 and tasters at MC's tasting room can taste&enjoy
several different vintages of outstanding Pinot Noirs from grapes grown 100% in Washington State, that won't cost you an arm and a leg. Please feel free to visit MC's tasting room to treat your pallet to a multi-Vintage Pinot Noir flavor sensation.

July 23, 2026-YOYO Legions, MC's tasting room is very cool for tasting our medal winning wines. Last weekend reaffirmed my opinion of all MC wines as I tasted with customers when they enjoyed tasting white&red, dry&sweet wines. Intense and unique aromas of each wine emanated from each tasters glass during tasting.
This experience is to be shared with family&friends during moments of mutual enjoyment. MC wines come from almost 50 years of fine winemaking practice&experience. You&your family are deserving of enjoying these terrific medal winning wines when you spend time together. MC wines also make great gifts.

June 20, 2026, YOYO Legions, Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there. My dad showed all of our family how to work and to help others less fortunate. God, Family, Country were always important parts of our daily life and we lived it everyday. Growing up in SW Michigan with most of my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins was generally speaking a fun life to share. Miss those Sunday potlucks at Grandma C's cabin on the lake. Oh yeah, there was work involved to get things cleaned up and ready for all the people who came and enjoyed family time. Special people, time, and place. Memories.
Thanks Dad and Mom for everything.

Apr.10, 2026, The weather in Yakima Valley has been so beautiful recently.The blossoms in the orchards are busting out everywhere right now, making drives in the Valley a one of a kind visual experience. Mas Chappell tries to apply this natural beauty to our grapegrowing&winemaking practices. Including native yeast cold soak fermentation, newer used oak barrel aging, minimal filtration
prebottling. All wines are 100% Vintage, Variety, Vineyard bottlings so our customers can experience the ultimate expression that the vineyards are able to produce. If this sounds like wine you would like to taste MC would be happy to share our wines with you.
