Beautiful weather in Yakima Valley is always enjoyed and appreciated here in the Zillah flavor zone. When you travel around
the Yakima Valley be sure to checkout local produce stands for the
freshest picked fruit and vegetables. This great weather also helps
produce the finest wine grapes = some of the finest wines in the world. Washington vines are "True Vines" no rootstock, 100% named varietal from deepest root to longest cane. If you'd like to taste the difference of Yakima Valley wines stop by Mas Chappell

Apr.10, 2026, The weather in Yakima Valley has been so beautiful recently.The blossoms in the orchards are busting out everywhere right now, making drives in the Valley a one of a kind visual experience. Mas Chappell tries to apply this natural beauty to our grapegrowing&winemaking practices. Including native yeast cold soak fermentation, newer used oak barrel aging, minimal filtration
prebottling. All wines are 100% Vintage, Variety, Vineyard bottlings so our customers can experience the ultimate expression that the vineyards are able to produce. If this sounds like wine you would like to taste MC would be happy to share our wines with you.

Mar.20,2026,FRIDAY,YOYO LEGIONS, After working for 20 wineries, consulting/starting up another 5-10 wineries. Sharing various production methods, I'm always challenging myself to improve my practices of grape growing, harvesting, crushing/pressing etc. If your not getting better your getting worse. MC has always merged
years of best practices with newer development in fermentation science practices&products.
Whats the point? Watching your fruit like a hawk, harvest on the best day, treat the picked fruit carefully, cold-soak as is MC practice
on NATIVE YEASTS. Pressing, draining, as is best for your varieties.
Once settled in tank, rack to your preferred cooperage. Brand new oak isn't the be all/end all. 10 years of bottling line/filter room operator in Sonoma's 5 million case winery taught me a lesson about excessive filtration of outstanding wine. Talk,Talk, Come by and taste MC wines and you'll see I'm not full of baloney people.

Dec.7, 2025, YOYO, Legions, cold, foggy days&nights can be fun, NOT. Stay warm and cozy with family and friends. Time of year for comfort food, casseroles, hearty soups, fresh baked sourdough bread, Whoa, that did it now I'm getting hungry. Your right, great time of year to enjoy your favorite red wine, fresh&fruity, or big&beefy reds all appropriate for cold weather gatherings to celebrate this Holiday time of year. You've been saving that "SPECIAL BOTTLE" to share, now is the time to break that beauty out of your bottle rack and pull the cork and sip and swirl in your favorite wine glass to doublecheck before pouring for everyone else to enjoy. WOW, is that wine incredible, swirl again & again to release those unique aromatics&flavors. Short and sweet this time Legions.

Nov.15, 2025, YOYO, Legions, its a beautiful sunny getting warm Fall morning here in the Yakima Valley Flavor Zone. I might break out my beach outfit to match the weather. Yes, the apple crews are working OT, trucks loaded with boxes galore of all types of apples for the whole world to enjoy heading to the warehouses to be inspected, packed and sent off for the rest of the world to enjoy.
While those lucky enough to live in or by the Greatest Fruit Growing Region on the planet Earth can pick apples, pears, grapes, hops off the tree/vine ourself if we want to get the real feel of fresh
fruit from farm to table literally.
Mas Chappell has always sought to preserve the soul of the vine in the wine MC produces by fermenting our wines on native indigenous yeast on the grapes without any interference of commercial yeast varieties.
Taste, smell, see for yourself when you stop by the tasting soon.

Nov.8, 2025, YOYO, Legions. Now is the time for the Legions to explore the greatest wine region in the western hemisphere, aka Yakima Valley. FYI, Yakima Valley produces over 70% of the US
hops, Idaho and Oregon combine to produce the rest.
Yes, Yakima Valley's near perfect climate, warm, sunny days, clear, cool nights, minimal moisture (4"-10"yr),that grow beautiful pears,apples, peaches, wine grapes, hops, etc. Wine&beer lovers enjoy the hops and grapes that produce the beverages everyone shares during the holidays.
Mas Chappell has a limited supply of 10+year old reds and whites,yes whites for you to share with family and friends at the holidays. Aged to perfection Cab Sav, Merlots, Malbecs, Pinot Noir, Mourvedre,Lemberger,Chard, Riesling,Viognier,Cuvee Z.
FYI - MC has vintage 2009 Cab Sav&Merlot available and 2010
Lemberger also. Rare because Lem is only grown in Washington State outside of Germany & Alsace.

Oct.25, 2025, YOYOYO Legions, WOW, been a great weather week in the Yakima Valley. Sunny, windy, cool to cold at night. Plenty of tree fruit waiting to be picked. Late Harvest style grapes still hanging for a little more sugar. Lots of fresh picked fruit and vegetables at local farms and produce stands, you know fresh picked can't be beat.
Vintage 2025 looks to be another outstanding year for Washington wines. This time of year is the best time to taste around the wineries and pick out some of the great quality wines for family and friends to share during the holidays. Yakima Valley wines are available at local grocery and wine stores.
Take your pick of best of the harvest, early pick Chard and Sauv Blanc look to be outstanding, Gewurtz and Chenin Blanc what little there is can be incredibly aromatic and full of flavor. Reds should be outstanding again take your pick, Cab Sav, Cab Franc, Merlot, Malbec, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre. While we wait for the 2025 vintage to work it's way to near perfection we can enjoy some of the aged to perfection for our customers. TAKE A CHANCE PEOPLE and get out and take a look around at our beautiful world we get to enjoy.
