At just 17-years-old, Sayge Hopwood leads a team that produces more than 56,000 bottles of wine per year, overseeing everything from precise winter pruning to harvest timing, chemistry testing and bottling line operations at Hopwood Cellars Winery. She now leaves Zionsville Community High School with a GPA above 4.0 and takes on her next challenge: freshman year of college.

Thousands have seen him hanging at the winery for 13 years.
Who is he?
This is Bekkar, named after the Hopwood's first dry red. The Hopwood's picked him up on one of their early travels to a winery in Kentucky 20 years ago. He was not only the Mascot, he was the lucky charm! Today he came down from his home for many years.
This is the final weekend.

Janet Hopwood: Enjoyed the 10+ monthly off-site events. Always a friendly smile to greet the customers. Studied Bourbon making at Moonshine University and was top of the class. Dedicated and loyal. Does not know a stranger. Many liked her unique twist on the Hopwood Vino shakes.

Sayge Hopwood: Sayge maintains the vineyard, vine care, harvest, bottling. Works the tasting room on the weekend. Performs the sprayers calculations for dad. Up in the morning before 6am to study or starts into the field before the mid day sun, although being dedicated to the task at hand, she works through the mid day sun as well. Label designer for both our companies labels. This fall she will head off to college. Creator of the refined Sassafrass Bourbon. We at Hopwood & William Rose Distillery are super proud of her!

Quinn Hopwood: Quinn, did all the bottling, vineyard maintenance, repairs equipment, works the tasting room on the weekends-buses tables, carries out cases etc., works at the pizzeria, interns at a finance company and started a window cleaning business, be on the look as he knocks on doors. 2 more years in high school, then off to a college. A real go getter, we at Hopwood are super proud to have him on this team.

Remember the "Hopwood Big Grape Stomp". More than 1000 people enjoyed stomping 900 pounds of grapes each year at Hopwood. Adult bounce houses, adult drinking Jenga and much more.
