tomato season is almost here 🍅🍅🍅 everyone loves a summer tomato- but behind each tomato is a whole lot of work that most people never see...

each week our trellising team spends hours tending to each of our 650+ tomato plants. carefully pruning and trellising them by hand to keep them happy and healthy. by removing unnecessary leaves and supporting the climbing vines we are helping improve airflow, reduce pressure from disease, and help the plants put more energy into producing beautiful tomatoes for you all! 🍅💚

so much can happen on a small farm in just one week! this week we had some long harvest days (like 600+ green onion bunches thank you , our csa members, and ) on top of our early week csa/foodhub/restaurant harvest and our late week restaurant/ ! phew!

somehow this all happened alongside the daily watering, weeding, planting, pruning, and the hundreds of other things that keep the farm moving. thank you to our amazing crew!

we'll be bringing the fruits of our labor to tomorrow. the forecast looks perfect for a market morning ☀️🌱

we are really ramping up for the season and anxiously awaiting the arrival of our summer crops (which should be here any day now) in the meantime we've still got a great lineup coming to market this weekend!

haven't signed up yet? good news- our CSA has open enrollment so it's never too late to join the party and celebrate the season with us 🌱

this week our boxes included: beets, carrots, bok choi, chard, kale, garlic scapes, cilantro, dill, oregano, head lettuce, green onions, radishes, turnips, pea shoots, sunflower shoots, and spring mix 🤩
