उपवासाचा शिरा | VARAICHA SHEERA MARATHI RECIPE

On this auspicious night of Mahashivratri, as we honor Lord Shiva's cosmic dance and divine union with Parvati, let's indulge in a special fasting treat: Varaicha Sheera. Crafted from samo rice (also known as varai, bhagar, or barnyard millet), this gluten-free delicacy mirrors the rich taste of traditional rava sheera, making it perfect for upvas (fasting).

Ingredients: Samo rice, milk, ghee, sugar, and a medley of nuts and aromatic spices. This combination not only offers a delightful taste but also aligns with fasting traditions.

Significance: Mahashivratri, "The Great Night of Shiva," is a time for spiritual reflection and celebration. Devotees observe fasts and prepare special dishes like Varaicha Sheera to honor Lord Shiva and seek his blessings.

May this sacred night bring peace, prosperity, and spiritual growth to all.
