Ah, October in Paris. The soft autumn light reflecting off the Seine. The days shorten. Everything smells like rain mixed with coffee. And 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐧𝐚𝐦 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 International Grand Final is coming to town! 🤝🌟

It's the competition's third year helping to sharpen bartenders' skills. And, as with the previous two editions, the path to Paris hasn't been an easy one for the competitors from the six participating places: France, Germany, The Baltics, India, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam.

Since March, bartenders across these markets have wrestled with a deceptively simple brief: "𝑼𝒏𝒍𝒐𝒄𝒌 𝑻𝒓𝒖𝒆 𝑭𝒍𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒖𝒓 – A journey through the senses." It sounds poetic. But it's demanding. Just ask the 15 finalists, from across Vietnam, gathered at the Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel. "It's amazing to see all the different parts of Vietnam represented," Daniel Teh from the Mathieu Teisseire Asia team enthused. "And they were extremely creative which is really good!"

There they faced down four judges: Huy Ho(Mathieu Teisseire Ambassador to Vietnam), Maxence Piattelli (former Grand Final winner), Nguyen Phu Cuong (AKA Jack In Bartender cocktail educationalist), and Nguyen Thanh Cong .bartender (Haflington Hanoi General Manager).

This year, at the Annam Group Foodservice organized event, they were scored across three challenges: '𝑩𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈,' '𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑪𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒚' and the final challenge, '𝑼𝒏𝒍𝒐𝒄𝒌 𝑻𝒓𝒖𝒆 𝑭𝒍𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒖𝒓' – "meaning the winner was the one who showed consistency," Huy Ho explained.

Pressure aside, the event was a celebration. "It was flavorful…and so much noise," Maxence smiled. "And the performances were stunning." One contestant even made a non-alcohol drink to remind their father to consume less. "And they called him live at the event," Huy Ho laughed. "Which reminds me, I should call my dad too."
