A few updates for the month ahead

• We will be taking a short holiday from July 27 – July 31 and will reopen on August 1.

• Butter Sand and Sweet Potato Cookie will be available by weekly pre-order from July 27 — Aug 16, then available in store again from Aug 18

• Hotel Bread will be available every Saturday as usual.

We’ll continue sharing updates on our seasonal cakes and new menu items here on Instagram.

For July and August, they will be available by pre-ordered only on selected days each week

• Sweet Potato Cookie (pick/up & delivery): Fri~Sun

🍒 Cherry Short is Back 🍒

Every summer, we look forward to cherry season.

Cherry Short has always been one of our favorite cakes at Gateauet — soft chocolate sponge, rich chocolate cream, and plenty of fresh cherries, all coming together in a combination we never get tired of.

This year, it took us a little longer to bring it back as we carefully considered the rising cost of ingredients and how to keep the cake enjoyable for everyone.

But cherry season wouldn’t feel complete without it ♡

We’re happy to welcome Cherry Short back to our counter, and we hope you’ll enjoy it with us again this summer 🤍

드디어 아메리칸 체리 시즌이 왔네요 🍒

작년에는 6월 초부터 체리케이크를 준비했던 것 같은데, 올해는 조금 늦게 선보이게 되었어요.

수업을 할 때는 ‘맛있는 메뉴’를 만드는 것에 집중하면 되었지만, 판매는 맛뿐만 아니라 가격, 판매 기간 동안의 프레쉬함 유지, 포장까지 고려해야 해서 늘 고민이 많아지는 것 같아요 🥹

매년 여름 가또에는 체리쇼트케이크를 준비해 왔어요.

* 발로나 꺄라이브를 듬뿍 넣은 아이스크림처럼 진한 쵸코크림
* 발로나 코코아파우더를 넣은 진한 쵸코 제누와즈
* 생체리 500g

이렇게 재료와 구성이 묵직하다 보니 가격대도 높아지고, 판매하는 입장에서도 부담이 있었어요.
좋은 재료만큼의 가격을 받고 싶지만, 고객분들 입장에서는 조금 높게 느껴질 수도 있다는 점도 늘 고민이었고요.

그래서 올해는
가격 부담은 조금 낮추면서도, 체리의 매력은 충분히 담은 새로운 케이크를 준비했습니다.
