Seeing Jascots rank in the Top 10 of Top 50 Drinks Wholesalers by Harpers W**e & Spirit for the last three years is a wonderful feeling.

We are very proud of our team, our portfolio of producers and endlessly grateful to our customers with whom we build long-lasting w**e partnerships.

We often hear that Jascots does things a little differently, so as we walk into this new chapter with Compagnia del Gusto Holding UK Ltd we’re truly excited to continue to bring our consultative account management and top-drawer w**es whilst getting creative with some new exciting projects.

Thankyou to Harpers and Andrew Catchpole for this excellent deep-dive into UK Wholesalers; the time and effort is hugely appreciated. Gorgeous visit to the seriously photogenic Gees Restaurant & Bar where Jascots w**e are gracing the list

From ethereal reds grown on the slopes of Mount Etna Villagrande to sunshine-pairing organic Provençal rosé from Château d'Astros and elevated Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico there is something for everyone.

We enjoyed scallops panfried in seaweed butter alongside Cuvvee Flamme Cremant Gratien Meyer Official for vibrant acidity and light effervescence matching the scallops velvety mouthfeel.

“I’ve spent the last few years working in the w**e industry, most recently as a Trade Sales Account Manager at Roberson W**e.

Before that, I worked as a Senior Sommelier at 67 Pall Mall and spent several years at the Michelin-starred Hakkasan restaurants, where I developed my passion for w**e and hospitality.

I’m really excited to be joining Jascots and getting to know the great team while continuing to grow my knowledge of the w**e trade.”

What were we pouring ?

The Greco Stilema Project (2014)

Mastroberardino Stilèma project, with the first vintage in 2014, presented in an exclusive bottle personally designed by Piero, reflects both craftsmanship and individuality. The w**e spends 24 months on its lees, followed by almost a year in barrel, with 10% new oak, creating remarkable depth and elegance.

On the palate, delicate notes of ripe pear and toasted hazelnut unfold with precision, leading to a distinctive saline finish that speaks of its Campanian origins. A w**e that balances tradition with modern w**emaking, delivering complexity, freshness, and lasting character.

We welcomed the wonderful Hélène Mellot to London this week to talk all things Famille Alphonse Mellot our iconic Sancerre producer.

Have you ever seen such an astonishingly beautiful barrel!!! A year and a half of trial and error to produce this perfect globe, the ideal shape for ageing. A celebration of the art of w**emaking.

The Domaine covers 45ha with plantings of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir on a mixture of flint and kimmeridgian soils. There is also plantings of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir 35km away in the small village Côtes de la Charite which is a bridge in expression between the Loire and Burgundy. The w**es are all made with deep commitments to organic and biodynamic viticulture.

Alphonse and Hélène bring such style and aesthetics to their w**ery and w**emaking. Patience and large oak vats are key to the w**es. Hélène’s favourite is the Generation Dix-Neuf (a nod to her husband!) from 1ha planted in 1931. Quite Burgundy in style we tried the 2018 vintage which had an ethereal, savoury character.

Pinot Noir Caviar

A brilliant tasting at MiMi Mei Fair London where the particular favourite was the Penitents Pinot Noir from their ‘younger’ (45 year old!) vines. Surprisingly dark and voluptuous this Côtes de la Charité is incredibly finessed.

We are so chuffed to announce the promotion of Mickey Taylor-Fallowes to Senior Sales Manager of the Jascots Account Management Team.

How do you describe the indomitable Mickey?

A man of true class with hospitality in his DNA. A Bolney English w**e lover with showstopping energy and endless knowledge of w**e and service.

Mickey joined Jascots in 2018 as Customer Service and Sales Support Manager before moving into Sales and Account Management. He has built strong partnerships with key contract caterers and hospitality customers, driving mutual growth along the way.

Mickey’s promotion reflects his hallmark energy, attention to detail and ability to light up a room while always getting things done.

We’re excited to see how Mickey brings this energy, customer-centric approach and collaborative leadership to both the wider Account Management Team and our customers.

Guests loved discovering the incredible quality of English w**es enjoyed alongside local cheese.

Bolney Bubbly Brut is such a fun English fizz, traditionally made with a blend of Chardonnay, Muller Thurgau and Pinot Noir bursting with English hedgerow flavours of honeysuckle, crisp apple and elderflowers.

Sharing some highlights from the Sommelier W**e Awards and great to see some excellent scores for our Essential W**es alongside our specialist offering.

We love SWA as the calibre of judge is so high with a selection of top sommeliers in the industry judging completely focused on what w**es work best in the on trade.

The w**es are judged on food-friendliness, versatility, typicity, personality and value for money. So we’re very proud to have had an array of medal winners as well as critics choice for Ch*****ne Alfred Gratien Brut NV as a w**e the judges simply fell in love with, regardless of the price or style.

There most innovative release yet is a selection of quality canned 250ml w**es. A canned Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé and Merlot.

What a corker of a meal at described by Jo as absolutle ‘dream scenes’.

You’ll find Jascots w**es gracing the menu including Brut NV, Coeur de Roche Sauvignon Blanc and Messwein Rosé all by the glass and the perfect compliment to Sean Breen’s modern bistro menu, chock full of British sourced high-quality ingredients.

Amazing work Jamie and the team, this is such a gem for the SE.
