Some people hit 40 and start buying anti-aging cream.
I hit 40 and doubled down on caffeine, sarcasm, and poor decision-making with confidence.
In my 40 years I've survived chaos, raised kids, loved a blue-collar man, turned a minivan into a Jeep, collected tattoos instead of regrets, and somehow convinced thousands of people to follow along while I document the madness.
I've learned that life is too short to worry about what people think. Drink the coffee. Dye your hair the wild color. Go on the trip. Buy the ridiculous cup. Laugh too loud. Love your people fiercely and make memories they'll talk about for years.
I may be getting older, but I'm also getting bolder. The filter on my mouth disappeared years ago, my tolerance for nonsense is at an all-time low, and my ability to find humor in absolute dumpster fires has become a superpower.
So here's to 40 years of surviving what should've broken me, embracing what makes me different, and proving that being "normal" was never part of the plan.
Welcome to my 40s.
They're going to be caffeinated, chaotic, adventurous, spooky, and completely unhinged—and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Happy Birthday to me. 🖤☕🎂
