I Was so excited to make this Unicorn Cake for a very special girl! It was for Emma Hoff's 7th Birthday! I made the cake with homemade strawberry and vanilla layers. I layered vanilla, strawberry, vanilla and strawberry. I covered the cake and made the horn, ears, eyes, Emma's name and small flowers out of marshmallow fondant. Horn and ears were painted with edible gold luster dust paint.The rosettes for the mane were made with homemade buttercream. The seashell edging on the bottom of the cake was also buttercream. I placed the cake on a gold cake board that was trimmed in white lace. I finished it off with a gold luster dust spray to make the whole cake sparkle!
