New by the glass at .ams, Primo Passaggio from Pierpaolo Badalucco.
Very interesting full bodied orange wine made from Grillo and Verdejo grapes in the traditional style from Marsala, Sicily, aged in untopped old oak barrels. This style gives the wine a sligtly oxitative touch.
Pierpaolo harvests the same vienyard several times, picking only the grapes he finds ready to be harvested at that moment. Primo passaggio litterally means first passage, this wine is the result of the first harvest of the season.
