Η (παραδοσιακή) Κρητική Σαλάτα ή Χωριάτικη Κρήτης
Είναι μια πολύ υγιεινή και δημοφιλής σαλάτα στο Καλοκαιρινό τραπέζι των Κρητικών.
Για την παρασκευή της βράζουμε 1-2 πατάτες και 2 φρέσκα αυγά. Κόβουμε σε κομμάτια μία ώριμη κόκκινη ντομάτα, λίγο αγγούρι, την πατάτα τα αυγά, προσθέτουμε λίγη κόκκινη και πράσινη πιπεριά, κρεμμύδι κόκκινο κατά προτίμηση, ελιές ψιλές ή ότι έχουμε. Μετά πασπαλίζουμε

με αλάτι και Ελληνική ξερή μυρωδάτη ρίγανη σε ποσότητα που μας αρέσει.
Αφού ανακατέψουμε όλα τα υλικά καλά, αρτύζουμε τη σαλάτα μας με καλό ξύδι και μπόλικο φρέσκο παρθένο ελαιόλαδο Κρήτης.
Η Κρητική Σαλάτα είναι μέρος της Κρητικής και Μεσογειακής κουζίνας.

Μπορεί να συνοδεύσει κάθε παραδοσιακό φαγητό ή να καταναλωθεί σαν ένα ελαφρύ γεύμα κατά προτίμηση με συνοδεία Κρητικού κρίθινου ντάκου (παπάρα).
