Bright Brand Cheese and Butter Bright Cheese and Butter is the oldest manufacturer of Cheddar Cheese in Ontario, supporting local farmers and products made 100% with milk.

Bright Cheese & Butter was established in 1874 by a group of local farmers who realized they had a surplus of milk each month from their livestock. Since then, not much has changed. By the turn of the twentieth century, cheddar had become Canada’s second largest export and there were 1,242 cheddar factories in Ontario. Bright Cheese is the oldest remaining cheddar factory in Canada. We haven’t eve

n moved… We’re in our original location from 1874! To this day, we are still providing quality dairy to the Ontario region. We are well known for our all natural, naturally-aged cheese made with 100% local milk. Our cheeses are made the old-fashioned way with customer service at its finest. Bottom line, you’ve never tasted cheese this pure, and the proof is in the product. We can’t wait to serve you and your family!
