These days we're sending out the allocations of Bastian Wolbers (or just Bast among friends) 2023 reds and 2022 whites! ⚡⚡⚡
It's now been 6 years since we met Basti for the first time in Baden (with his brother Christoph from Wasenhaus), and what a voyage Basti has made in those years! After interning at guys like Jean-Marc Dreyer, Ganevat and Jean-Yves Bizot, he decided to settle more permanently in Burgundy.
Basti's first wines were made with grapes from friends (farmed organically bien sûr!) alongside his work, but vineyards have been taking over gradually, and since 2022 he is 100% dedicated to his own project. The domaine is now farming 3,2hectares, and Basti is putting in a tremendous amount of work into the fields to produce the wines of his dreams: Tillage by horses, bidodiversity, high trellising etc. The cellar work is very hands off,
The wines have quickly been highly demanded with a good reason: They're utterly delicious with a great nerve! We can't image how far Basti can go with this project with everything he puts into it, but we're sure looking forward to both these vintages and the ones to come! ✨
