NOTICE TO U.S. MILITARY VETERANS CONCERNING THE BEVERLY-MORGAN PARK MEMORIAL DAY PARADE - There is now an opportunity to participate in the parade for veterans with mobility challenges!!
We would be honored to have you participate in the parade on Monday, May 25, 2026! There is now a trolley to accomodate veterans with mobility issues.
The Grand Marshal for the parade, Carol Macola, a U.S. military veteran, has contacted us to extend the invitation and help spread the word that there is now a trolley for the parade that will carry any veterans who need mobility assistance.
The instructions are to gather at the corner of 110th and Longwood by 9:15 a.m. to board the trolley. There should be parking available at the lot at the Morgan Park Methodist Church that is right there at that corner.
Carol is suggesting you wear your cap that identitifes your branch of service.
The trolley will run the parade route to Ridge Park at 96th Street, then take you back to 110th. The trolley will not be able to stop and wait for anyone at Ridge Park. You can get off at Ridge Park but then you will have to get yourself back from there.
If you would like to participate or have questions, please send Carol an email at: [email protected] - include your name and the names of any other veterans who will join you. This is so Carol can track numbers. Please don't leave a comment on this post as your reply - send a message to Carol Macola.
We know it's last minute so please share this message to help spread the word.
