Just like āĻ•āĻžāĻāĻ āĻžāĻ˛ (kathal/jackfruit) and āĻ¤āĻžāĻ˛āĻļāĻžāĻāĻ¸ (taalsans/ice apple), Bangalore has āĻ•ā§ŽāĻŦā§‡āĻ˛ (Kotbel) too in its market spread. So things that had become ‘exotic’ and ‘never heard of’ in Delhi are again making an unpretentious comeback.

But, that Kotbel (āĻ•ā§ŽāĻŦā§‡āĻ˛) is Wood Apple — is something that I learnt that only today!!

Kedarkantha: The Startâ€Ļ

The trek from Sankri to the Base Camp goes through four camps and a landscape that starts from rocky climbs, going through meadows, and finally on the snow bed.

We start at around 6000+ feet, and in mid-March the snow starts near Juda ka Talaab, which is at 9000’ ft.

The climb isn’t that steep after that and you reach the base camp at 10,200’ ft through a gentle hike.
