Bidstone is very proud to have Hosted the 2026 Forgotten Run .. Weldone to the participants for 4 days of running in the mountains and always braving our unique weather . 80 kms in total .Day 1 Bidstone to Hawkshead.. Day 2 Hawkshead to the Dangershoek Catholic Church..Day 3 Dangershoek to Frosty Peaks ( Glen Lyon) . Day 4 Glen Lyon to Bidstone..

December in September . This is the greenest September I can recall
Im not sure if this is the new normal or a good bye parting gift from the Rain before we edge our way into an apocalyptic drought.
My Neighbour had been keeping weather data since when Petrol was cheap .He reckons since this " global warming " We actually get more rain and its few degrees warmer. Which if you saw my previous pics ,We could really do with

The end of April is a busy time with cattle , weaning , weighing , foot and mouth vet checks . There are cows everywhere here at Bidstone and its noisy . Its also the end of Summer , the leaves turning ,cold air afternoons with beautiful white light

Upper Glen Lyon ( The last farm before You go over Lundeans Nek) ..
Adventures with cousin Chris Isted ..Chapter 2.
Chris built an amazing traverse road up to the top of Glen Lyon Mountain. It can only be done with a Side by Side or a Short wheel base 4x4 .. and a expert level driver . Some of the zig zags had to be done in reverse. . The road is well drained and surfaced . This experience is not for the faint hearted
