Not all ultrafiltration membranes are built the same. inge, a DuPont brand, is best known for its patented inside/out UF membrane configuration. Feed water flows through the inside of the fibre before passing outward through the membrane wall, a design that improves resistance to fouling and supports stable, reliable performance across a wide range of raw water conditions.

Aqua Resources is the sub-Saharan Africa distributor for inge, supplying these membranes alongside technical support from both the manufacturer and our own technical team. Whether you are treating surface water, pre-treating ahead of RO, or working through a challenging feed source, we can help you get the specification right.

Not all feed water is the same. Some of the most demanding applications involve water that most standard membranes aren't designed to handle. High TDS brine streams, seawater desalination, and concentrated industrial effluent require membranes engineered specifically for those conditions: higher salt rejection, pressure tolerance, and chemical resistance.

We distribute DEFRA Water products for exactly these applications. Their marine desalination systems and high TDS membranes are designed for challenging, high-concentration feed water where standard RO elements fall short.

If you're working with seawater intake, brine recovery, or any high-salinity application, we can help you specify the right solution.

World Water Week runs from 23 to 27 August, convening water professionals, policymakers, and researchers in Stockholm and online. This year's theme is Water for People and Progress: a focus on a more just and water-secure future, set against the pressure of a changing climate.

It is a global conversation, but the questions are familiar ones here. How do we stretch scarce water further? How do we make reuse and recycling the norm rather than the exception? How do we get reliable treatment to the places that need it most?

β€œWater for People and Progress captures the shift the sector needs. In a water-scarce region, real progress means recovering and reusing water rather than using it once, and making proven treatment technology available to the operators and communities that need it most.” Phathutshedzo Mashele, Managing Director, Aqua Resources SA

Every reverse osmosis membrane needs a pressure vessel it can rely on. Under constant pressure, for years, that component is not a detail. We are the sub-Saharan Africa distributor for Phoenix Vessel Technology, supplying their pressure vessels in 2.5, 4.0, 4.6, and 8.0 inch configurations for reverse osmosis systems. Phoenix vessels are engineered for the operating pressures and duty cycles that membrane systems demand, which makes them a dependable foundation for both new builds and replacements.

Matching the right vessel to your system is part of the technical support we provide, not an afterthought.

Need pressure vessels for a project or a replacement? Let's talk.

Water challenges are rarely simple. Finding the right supplier shouldn't add to the complexity. You build the solution. We make sure the technology behind it is the right fit, reliably supplied, and properly supported.

Aqua Resources represents leading international water treatment brands across South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa. That means one point of contact for membrane, vessel, and pre-filtration selection, competitive pricing, dependable supply, and technical back-up drawn from both our team and the manufacturers behind each product.

One conversation, a broad range of solutions.

Most filtration problems start before the main treatment process even begins. Good pre-filtration protects downstream equipment, keeps systems running consistently, and cuts down on maintenance. Everblue's range covers self-cleaning, cartridge, and bag filtration, built with exactly that in mind.

Want to improve your pre-treatment process? Let's talk.

Most membrane system failures are not failures of hardware. They are failures of assumptions made at the design stage. Feed water changes. Recovery targets shift. Scaling potential gets underestimated. By the time these show up in operation, they are expensive to fix.

This is why projection matters. Modelling a system before it is built lets you test the design against real feed water chemistry, predict pressure and flux, flag scaling risk, and compare membrane options while changes still cost nothing. We bring projection into every technical conversation, so the system you commission behaves the way the design promised.

Planning a new system or troubleshooting an existing one? Let's talk.

Scaling is one of the most common, and most avoidable, causes of membrane system underperformance. Getting antiscalant dosing right depends on how accurately you can predict what will actually precipitate, and where.

PROTON, developed by American Water Chemicals, is a cloud-based antiscalant and RO/NF design tool built for exactly this. Rather than relying on simplified formulas, it calculates scaling potential from thermodynamic data across more than 50 scale types, and accounts for how salt passage shifts with flux at each individual stage of a system.

That level of detail changes the dosing. It also flags risks that standard tools miss, including whether the antiscalant itself could precipitate under a given water chemistry.

We work with PROTON as part of the technical support behind the products we supply, so dosing and design decisions are grounded in the real chemistry of your feed water.

Get membrane selection wrong at the design stage and you pay for it for the life of the system. DuPont's WAVE PRO is built to take the guesswork out of that decision. WAVE PRO (Water Application Value Engine) is DuPont's design and modelling platform. It brings ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, and ion exchange into a single environment, so a full treatment train can be modelled end to end rather than in disconnected pieces.

For engineers, that means designing with FilmTec RO and NF elements, IntegraTec and Inge UF modules, and AmberLite ion exchange resins in one tool. It runs in the browser, on any device, with reports you can share securely across a team.

As the sub-Saharan Africa distributor for DuPont Water Solutions, we pair the tool with the products behind it and the technical support to back both.

Want help modelling your next system in WAVE PRO? Let's talk.

World Nature Conservation Day. 28 July. Freshwater is the resource that connects every other natural system: agriculture, biodiversity, human health, industrial activity. When freshwater is degraded or unavailable, everything downstream is affected.

South Africa is a water-scarce country. The pressure on surface water, groundwater, and municipal infrastructure is real and increasing. That reality sits behind every water treatment project we support, whether it's a municipal works, an industrial reuse system, or a desalination plant serving a community without reliable supply.

The technology to treat, recover, and reuse water exists. Our role is making it accessible and correctly applied across sub-Saharan Africa.

Conservation isn't only about what we protect. It's also about how efficiently we use what we have.
