Boel Burger Brangus Boel Burger Brangus — built on integrity, bred for performance. Why Brangus?

Boel Burger Brangus | Krugersdrift Dam, Free State
Farm Lough Dearg, between Bloemfontein & Dealesville
Kobus Burger – 082 808 2834

For Kobus Burger, Brangus wasn’t just a choice — it was the result of thorough research, careful planning and a belief in what truly works. In 2016, he started his journey with just eight Brangus heifers and one very special bull — a bull he still credits as a cornerstone of his stud’s success. Kobus was drawn to the Brangus breed for its hardiness, adaptability, fertility and calm temperament — traits that combine the best of Brahman and Angus genetics. He needed a breed that could perform on both sweet and sourveld and handle the cold — Brangus delivered. Breeding Approach
✔️ Strong focus on adaptability and temperament
✔️ Careful selection of bulls with proven genetic value
✔️ A commitment to continuous improvement and ethical practices

Core Values
For Kobus, integrity, sustainability and animal respect are non-negotiable. His goal is to contribute to the improvement of the breed — not just for his own herd, but for the broader Brangus community.

“I’m proud to be part of a network of breeders who share knowledge and work together to grow the breed with honesty and purpose.”

What Makes Brangus Stand Out? Brangus is naturally polled, with light birth weights for easier calving, followed by heavy weaning weights — a winning combination for commercial and stud operations alike.
