Every great recipe has a story, and ours begins with my father, Alan Barber. While on a fishing trip in Mozambique, Alan wandered through a quaint local market and stumbled upon a small chicken restaurant that served an extraordinary Peri Peri Sauce. Unlike typical hot sauces that overpower, this sauce enhanced the natural flavors of the food, creating a

harmonious balance that delighted his taste buds. Upon returning to South Africa, Alan searched high and low for a chili sauce that could replicate that perfect balance but found none. Driven by his passion for food and cooking, he embarked on an experimental journey—trying different cooking methods, ingredients, spices, and chili varieties. After countless trials, he discovered the ideal combination, crafting the very first Just Chillin flavor: Mild. Initially made exclusively for family and friends, Alan soon realized that others loved the sauce just as much. Thus, Just Chillin was born—a brand dedicated to delivering fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced chili sauces that complement any dish without overshadowing its essence.
