What a memorable evening in Bloemfontein!

Our recent food and wine pairing at Brandkop Estate combined great food, wonderful company and, of course, plenty of Wildekrans wine. Set on a beautiful property steeped in history, the evening was made even more special by owner Gustav Fichardt, who shared some fascinating stories about Bloemfontein's past.

De Wet had guests thoroughly entertained while sharing the stories behind the wines, and we're pretty sure we left with a few new Wildekrans fans!

✨ Wedding Wednesday ✨

Today's Wedding Wednesday is a little extra special.

Twenty years ago, our dynamo hospitality team, Gordon and Emma Manuel, said "I do".

One of the things we hear time and time again from our Wildekrans brides is how much they appreciate that we share in the excitement of their big day. They never feel like just another booking.

Emma always says it's because she remembers so clearly how special her own wedding day was. Being part of creating those memories for other couples is something she never takes for granted. Together, Emma and Gordon have helped make countless wedding days at Wildekrans unforgettable, bringing warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm to every celebration.

Happy 20th anniversary, Emma and Gordon. Thank you for being such an important part of so many love stories.

There is something special about sharing great food, great wine and great conversation.

Last week’s food and wine pairing evening at Verdicchio’s was filled with all three, as guests enjoyed a carefully curated menu paired with a selection of Wildekrans wines.

That's a wrap on another fantastic Stoep Tasting weekend in Graaff-Reinet!

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to taste, chat, laugh and share a glass of Wildekrans with us over the past few days. We met so many wonderful people, enjoyed plenty of memorable conversations, and once again experienced the incredible hospitality that makes Graaff-Reinet so special.

Thank you to the Stoep Tasting team for putting together another unforgettable event. We loved every minute and we're already looking forward to doing it all again next year.

On Tuesday, 2 June, Wildekrans Wine Estate will be joining Brandkop Estate for a special Food & Wine Pairing evening hosted by our winemaker, De Wet Viljoen.

De Wet will be sharing the stories behind the wines, interesting insights from the estate, and what makes Wildekrans wines so unique to our Overberg terroir. Paired with great food and the warm atmosphere of Brandkop Estate, it promises to be a memorable evening around the table.

Happy International Bee Day 🐝

Wildekrans Wine Estate is uniquely situated within a natural bee movement corridor, making the Estate an ideal place for hives to grow strong and healthy amongst vineyards, canola fields and indigenous vegetation.

In partnership with Barden Bees, the hives placed across the farm play an important role in supporting biodiversity and the overall health of the landscape around us. This year’s theme, “Bee Together for People and the Planet”, is a reminder of just how important these tiny pollinators are to the future of our ecosystems.
