Beaumont Family Wines Beaumont is a charming family-run farm & w**ery situated in the quaint Overberg village of Bot River

The farm – home to the region’s oldest w**e cellar – is steeped in history, dating back to the 1700s. A visit to Beaumont is a romantic escape into a timeless world where tradition is a way of life. The Beaumont family crest reads “Erectus non Elatus” – which means proud but not arrogant – and this approach carries through to everything we do.

96 POINTS | 30 VINTAGES | ONE VERY SPECIAL HOPE

Our Hope Marguerite OVP Chenin Blanc 2025 has been awarded 96 points by Tim Atkin in his 2026 South Africa Special Report — a remarkable result for the 30th vintage of our flagship w**e.

And perhaps even more meaningful are Tim’s words, “A w**e that I like to buy for my own cellar, given how seamlessly it ages.”

Born from Beaumont’s oldest Chenin Blanc vineyards, planted in 1974 and 1978, Hope Marguerite is a w**e built around patience, place, and longevity.

The results across the range are equally extraordinary, with four Beaumont w**es also selected among Tim Atkin’s “W**es of the Year”:

Tomorrow is Milling Day at Beaumont

There is something special about seeing our 250-year-old watermill come to life. Powered entirely by water, the mill quietly goes about producing fresh stone-ground flour as it has done for generations.

Join Andy, Nawaaz and Lucky as they bring this remarkable piece of Beaumont’s history into action and discover how flour was made long before electricity.

Freshly milled flour and homemade bread will be available to purchase, while our deli will be serving brunch and lunch. Add a w**e tasting, wander around the farm and make a day of it in the Bot River sunshine!

Today we’re celebrating one of our true farm stars – Breakspear 🐾

If you’ve visited Beaumont, you’ve probably met her. More often than not you’ll find her stretched out on the stoep, fast asleep with her legs in the air waiting for a tummy rub or proudly howling at the passing train as if it’s her daily duty.

Between supervising the harvest and keeping a watchful eye on farm life, Breakspear has become a much-loved part of Beaumont.

We think she’s a very deserving contender in the **e2026 competition hosted by W**eLand Media 🏆

We’ll start with a glass of our newly released Beaumont Rosé 2026, take a tractor ride to the Vitruvian vineyards, then settle in around a long table in our barrel cellar for a leisurely three-course lunch paired with Beaumont w**es.

Today we celebrate 💫

Some of the greatest treasures in our vineyards aren’t the newest plantings, but the oldest. Their roots run deep, drawing on decades of seasons, challenges and change to produce fruit with remarkable concentration, texture and a true expression of place.

We raise a glass of Hope Marguerite, crafted from two Certified Heritage Vineyards planted in 1974 and 1978, as we look ahead to the release later this year of her 30th vintage—a milestone that celebrates both these remarkable old vines and the generations who have cared for them.

We toast not only these enduring vineyards, but also the people who have nurtured them over the years: our vineyard team, our w**emakers, and incredible organisations like Old Vine Project, whose work helps protect, celebrate and champion South Africa’s irreplaceable old vines.

CHENIN BLANC 2026 HAS ARRIVED ✨

For 31 vintages, Chenin Blanc has been at the heart of Beaumont.

More than any other w**e, it tells the story of our vineyards, our history and the place we call home. A w**e we return to year after year, finding new ways to express our corner of Bot River while staying true to its roots.

The 2026 vintage shows bright citrus, ripe pear and preserved quince, with a textured palate, chalky minerality, fresh acidity and a long, mouth-watering finish.

We are so excited to share this new vintage with you and look forward to it finding a place at your table.

Winter in the Overberg has its own kind of magic.
