# # # A Proud Day for Seeds for Life 🌱
On 20 August 2026, Seeds for Life Farm Primary Co-Operative had the privilege of undergoing our 3rd year SAGAP audit with the PPECB (Perishable Product Export Control Board) and the team from the Western Cape Department of Agriculture.
We are incredibly proud to share that we achieved **94%**, with only **two minor findings**. 🎉
A sincere thank you to **Dr Bukelwa Gwarambi and her team from the Department of Agriculture** for their continuous support, guidance and commitment to our journey. Your support has played an important role in helping us strengthen our systems, improve our practices and continue striving for excellence in food safety, sustainable agriculture and responsible farming.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to Shireen Pijoos from PGS Organic Certification Body, who joined us as an observer. Shireen’s commitment to supporting and empowering PGS farmers and the organic farming movement is truly commendable. Her contribution to the organic farming community and the broader agricultural industry deserves to be celebrated. 🌿
Being a small farm comes with big challenges. We may be small, but the certifications, standards, compliance requirements and paperwork are anything but small! 😅
Every day, we navigate the red tape, the requirements and the ever-growing demands placed on farmers — while still doing what we love: growing food, supporting growers and building a more sustainable food system.
From Organic Certification (PGS)to SAGAP and Food Safety, we continue to invest in doing things properly, because we believe that the size of your farm should never determine the quality of your standards.
Small farm. Big certifications. Big dreams. 🌱
We are proud of how far Seeds for Life has come, grateful for the people who continue to support us, and even more determined to keep growing.
94% today — and always room to grow tomorrow. 💚
