Southeaster Akvavit Southeaster Akvavit is a craft spirit produced in Cape Town, South Africa.

Born in Gothenburg, Sweden with a Swedish father and Danish mother but growing up in South Africa, I was lucky enough to enjoy the best of both worlds but always wished I could share some of the culinary delights Scandinavia has to offer to more South Africans. Having introduced friends to the joys of pickled herring, smoked salmon and various other Nordic dishes along with some akvavit (when I ha

d some) I wanted to create something uniquely Swedish and South African so that it could be enjoyed all year round, and so Southeaster Akvavit was born!
