Winter may look quiet in the vineyard... 🌱
But next season is already at work! While the vines rest, our vineyard team carefully prunes them by hand to prepare for healthy growth in the months ahead.
Between our rows, a cover crop mix of oats, barley, radishes, peas and faba beans helps to improve soil structure, return nutrients, retain moisture, reduce erosion and encourage biodiversity. It's work that often goes unseen, but it lays the foundation for healthy
vineyards and every vintage still to come.
A lot of movement is stirring on the estate and we can't wait to share more of what is coming at Saxenburg Stellenbosch 🍷
