Sybil Doms Simply Sophisticated I was born in the heart of the Robertson Wine lands which explains my love for good food and wine.

Being raised in a closely knit food loving family, there was no doubt in what I wanted to do with my life. While studying at the Institute of Culinary Arts at the famous BanhoekValley , I frequented the kitchens of some of the most famous chefs in the industry, like Mark’s Mediterranean Restaurant in Paarl, Groot Bos Nature Reserve in Gansbaai as well as Graham Shapiro in Cape Town. After experien

cing famous continental wines of the world, abroad, I returned to South Africa where I decided to join the media. I became involved, as freelance stylist for several publications, such as rooi rose, Fair Lady Bride, Taste Magazine and Real Simple. I also used my experience by doing food and wine pairing and food styling for several Wine Estates including, L’Omarines, Rupert and Rothchild, Graham Beck and De Wetshof Wine Estate.
