Some gatherings don't need a reason.

A table set beautifully. A few bottles opened. Good food making its way around the room. Sometimes that's all it takes.

Over the years we've catered everything from engagement celebrations and milestone birthdays to corporate lunches, private dinners and long-table feasts at home. Different occasions, same philosophy: feed people well and the rest tends to take care of itself.

Winter has a way of making you want to be somewhere warm, with something good on your plate and a glass of wine within arm's reach.

That's exactly why we started Bistro Nights.

Every Friday, the fires are lit, the dining room fills up, and for a few hours the outside world can get on without you. There'll be something delicious coming out of the kitchen, a bottle worth opening, and hopefully a table full of people you enjoy spending time with.

Not a bad way to spend a winter evening if you ask us.

Ryan and Teagan’s beautiful day was a gentle reminder of how special it is when a room is filled only with the people who matter most.

Between the warm candlelight, the special toasts and laughs, it felt like one giant, heartfelt family dinner.

While our grand wedding season is taking a little breather while we quietly watch our new Grace Conservatory take shape, our doors are still open for intimate celebrations that personify warmth, connection, and incredible food.

Newsflash! Some extra tables for our Father’s Day Lunch have opened up!

Our dining room is fully booked for Sunday, but we've decided to open a few additional tables on the stoep for those who would still like to join us.

Now, in the spirit of full disclosure, it may be a little chilly and there is some rain forecast. That said, if you're the sort of person who enjoys a glass of red wine, a hearty Sunday lunch and the sound of rain in the background, we'd love to have you.

A few tables are available, but they'll be snapped up quickly.

FOMO for Father’s Day? Groundbreaking!

While our Father’s Day Lunch is officially sold out, here’s a sneak peek at the menu for our guests next Sunday!

Bone marrow toast gets the paternal celebration going with, roast beef and pressed oxtail
at the centre of the table, crispy potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and all the comforting bits that make a proper Sunday lunch worth looking forward to.

There'll even be a stuffed cabbage parcel with boerenkaas and chestnut butter for those skipping
the meat.

And because every good Father's Day lunch deserves a sweet ending, we're finishing with warm apple tart and ginger beer ice cream.

If you missed out this time, don’t panic! The Homestead is hosting an extra 3-course Sunday Lunch Pop Up just because we can!
