After some significant health issues, and after dealing with them through natural means and nutrition, I developed a keen interest in the production methods of our food. Not only have I tried to avoid artificially produced products when preparing meals for my family, I have tried to ensure that foods are as natural as possible. In so doing, I have studied the way in which commercial eggs are produ

ced. Not only are methods less than natural in the production of eggs, they are often unkind to the producers of those eggs, namely, the hens. Since hens are permitted to be kept in suburban gardens, I decided to buy some chicks and raise them to become to the happy, busy, bug-eating, egg-producing machines that they are now.
