Tetsuo and were one of the first establishments to support us on our journey. His focus on excellence, not only in how he selects the spirits he works with, but in how he delivers every single cocktail, makes ANTHM the ideal partner for Inzalo.

He began his bartending career in New York, moving from Japan at 24 with no bar experience and working his way from waiter to head bartender at the legendary Angel's Share, before joining the award-winning Maison Premiere and eventually opening two of his own bars in Manhattan.

In January 2024, he brought that same uncompromising standard to Cape Town, opening — specialising in intricately crafted cocktails and small Japanese plates.

When someone with that career behind them chooses to put your spirit on their menu, it really means something.

Diego has always called Inzalo Batch One a masterpiece. So when it came to resting it in wood, the question was never how much the barrel could add, but rather how little it needed to.

And that's why we chose a medium-toasted French Oak barrel.

A global-first and extremely-limited single release of only 257 bottles using a 2017 vintage barrel sourced from , who have been defining South African Pinotage since 1995.

Our Batch One spirit is rested for two three-month periods; first, at a 64% strength to extract tannins, colour, and the distinct red wine characteristics of the pinotage grape, then removed and replaced with a 55% strength spirit to rest for a further three months, extracting residual sweetness and creating softness.
