Cold legs. Warm hands. Full hearts.

The Acorn Breakfast Run Winter Edition came and went on the 30th of May - and it was everything a winter morning in the Highveld should be 🙌🏻

5km / 10km of red dirt farm road. A local artisan market. Soup and freshly baked bread enjoyed together at the end. The kind of community you did not know you needed until you arrived.

This is what the BREAKFAST RUN is all about and we do this every season!

This past weekend a group of woman came to Acorn ✨

They came tired. They came carrying things. They came because something inside them said “I need some space” - space to breathe, to be still, to remember who they are when the noise stops.

For two days the farm held them.

Worship. Real and honest conversations around the kitchen table. Long walks through the fields. Food for the soul and fires that burned into the night.

This is what Acorn is made for 🙌🏻

"A week away from the noise of the metro reminded us how powerful the right environment can be."

Those are not our words. They belong to a group of academics, postdoctoral fellows and postgraduate students who spent a week at Acorn writing, thinking, and doing what brilliant people do when you give them space and good food.

Creativity flowed more freely. Discussions became more focused. And the meals — their words — sustained both body and mind throughout.

This is something we love deeply about Acorn. It is not just a wedding venue. It is a place where the right environment changes what people are capable of.
