Daar is min dinge so mooi soos Tuli-kalfies wat sorgeloos deur die veld beweeg. Elke kalf is 'n bewys van goeie genetika, sterk moedereienskappe en 'n passie vir kwaliteit boerdery.

Ons het hierdie week ons Fase D-veldgroeitoets saam met Gerdus van SA Stud Book / SA Stamboek suksesvol afgesluit.

Fase D is vir ons ’n belangrike seleksieproses waar ons ons beeste onder natuurlike veldtoestande evalueer, met slegs Mckoster Brew as aanvulling. Ons toets hulle vir aanpasbaarheid, funksionaliteit en die vermoë om met minimale insette optimaal te presteer.

Vanjaar het ons ook ons verse se vleisgehalte en liggaamsmates geneem om meer data te versamel en beter genetiese besluite vorentoe te neem. 🐂🌾

’n Legende stap stadig, maar sy spore bly vir altyd. Leeu het amptelik sy “aftree-papiere” ontvang. 🐂

Van hierdie jaar af is Leeu nie meer een van ons teelbulle nie, maar ons sien met opgewondenheid uit na die genetika en nalatenskap wat hy in ons kudde agterlaat.

Alhoewel hy nie meer in ons stoet gebruik word nie, sal hy steeds een van ons topbulle in ons kommersiële kudde bly.

Ons is oortuig daarvan dat sy invloed nog vir baie jare sigbaar sal wees en dat hy steeds ’n waardevolle bydrae tot ons kudde sal lewer.

’n Sterk koei-en-kalf verhouding is een van die belangrikste eienskappe van die Tuli-ras. 🐂

Die Tuli-ras is bekend vir koeie wat hul kalwers met sorg grootmaak en uitstekend aanpas onder verskillende veldtoestande. Tuli-koeie beskerm ook hul kalwers goed en voorsien voldoende melk om gesonde ontwikkeling van vroeg af te ondersteun.

Hulle rustige temperament help ook dat hul kalwers makliker aanpas en sterk grootword. Hierdie eienskappe dra oor tyd by tot goeie speengewigte en ’n meer funksionele kudde.

Wat die Tuli verder besonders maak, is die vermoë om konsekwent te produseer sonder oormatige insette. Selfs onder moeilike toestande behou hulle hul vrugbaarheid - ’n bewys van die ras se gehardheid en natuurlike doeltreffendheid. 🌾
