Sunday 2 weeks back we were honoured to cater the annual family day at The Palms Resthome in Hillcrest.
The theme....Christmas in July with a Western twist.
Oh boy what fun we had!!! On the menu:
*Mini Hotdogs
*Mini pulled brisket rolls
*Devilled eggs
*Devils on horseback
*Southern fried chicken
*Mini pigs in blankets
*Salad skewers
*Colourful fruit skewers
*Mini pecan pies
*Mini Keylime pies
*And the South African twist...Mini milk tarts.
*Snack cups with jerky, popcorn and jelly sweets.
The decor was amazing. The live music was awesome.
The vibe was electric!!!

Every so often a client will call us for a part meal order. Such was the case recently when a client called with a request for 3 stuffed chicken, crispy roast potatoes, gravy and skin on oven roasted pumpkin.
She would make the peas and rice. We obliged and made:
*3 stuffed roasted chickens stuffed with pork sausage meat, herbed bread crumbs, red onions and cranberries.
*Crispy crunchy roasted potatoes.
*Skin on oven roasted pumpkin.
*And a hearty gravy made from the roast drippings.

Every so often we are called upon to cater the funeral or memorial service for one of our clients loved ones.
So was the case recently for the funeral service of Mr Steve Reed. RIP. It is clear to see from your service and the people that were there, that you were greatly loved.❤❤❤

Oh my. Was looking through some old pics. And remembered this event fondly. A Seafood extravaganza of the highest order.
###L prawns. Crayfish tails. Flash fried calamari tubes with chourizo and baby spinach. Salad. Savaoury rice. A feast indeed.
