CANTO WINES IS HIRING | PIZZA CHEF / KITCHEN MANAGER
Canto, a beautiful wine farm destination in Durbanville, is looking for an experienced and passionate Pizza Chef / Kitchen Manager to join our team.
We’re looking for someone who understands that great food is about more than just what is on the plate. It’s about quality, consistency, passion and creating an experience that guests remember.
YOUR ROLE:
As our Pizza Chef / Kitchen Manager, you will take responsibility for the smooth running of the kitchen while leading our pizza offering and kitchen team.
You will be responsible for:
* Producing consistently excellent pizzas
* Managing daily kitchen operations
* Leading, training and motivating the kitchen team
* Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
* Managing stock, ordering, food costs and wastage
* Ensuring recipes, portions and quality standards are consistently maintained
* Maintaining exceptional hygiene and food safety standards
* Keeping the kitchen organised, clean and service-ready
* Working closely with management to continually improve our offering
* Helping create the welcoming, relaxed and memorable experience that Canto is known for

Experienced and confident in a kitchen leadership role
Hands-on and willing to lead from the front

Serious about food safety and hygiene

📌 ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
✔️ Previous pizza chef / kitchen management experience
✔️ Food Safety Training – COMPULSORY
✔️ Own reliable transport – ESSENTIAL
✔️ Ability to work weekends and public holidays when required
