OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON ZUMA'S NON ARRIVAL AT THE SPUNTSUNUNU EXPERIENCE SEASON 5 AT Kwa Malume Lounge Flagstaff

25 February 2024

Greetings All.

This is the official statement on the non arrival of Zuma (Amaroto) at the Sputsununu Experience Season 5 that was held at our outlet yesterday 24 February 2024.

Kwa Malume Lounge is a social outlet that exists on local support and is aimed at bringing a social and entertainment platform for our patrons both locally and those who visit our small Eastern Cape town called Flagstaff.

Kwa Malume Lounge specializes in promoting local talent and giving a plaform for local promoters to showcase their work and be afforded space to grow within the entertainment space.

Kwa Malume Lounge wishes to inform its patrons that the Event was mainly organized by promoters by the name of Aizor Entertainment and ours was to provide a venue for the event, all logistics were organized by the promoter.

Kwa Malume Lounge had a duty to confirm all booking and contractual agreements before the event could be publicized and we are of the view that all that was met hence the artist Zuma himself issued a video clip inviting his fans to the event.
Kwa Malume Lounge is also in position of the flight bookings for the artist and his team and hence we have okeyed everything regarding the event and proceeded with the marketing using our name.

Zuma's flight was at 15h00 at the O.R Tambo International Airport and was due to land at King Shaka International at 16h15 where arrangements were made for them to be driven from Durban to Flagstaff for the event.

It was at 14h50 when the management received a call from Zuma stating that he has experienced a breakdown about 15 minutes away from the airport and requested that his flight be changed to another time.

As management we were not responsible for his booking and we referred the matter to the promoters who informed us that there were no available flights to Durban for yesterday.

It was upon that realization that the management had decided to cancel the paid event and allow our patrons to enter the venue for free and ensure utmost entertainment regardless the inconvenience as our patrons and Zuma's fans were looking forward to the experience.

Kwa Malume Lounge wishes to sincerely apologize to it patrons for the inconvenience and ensures that in future the Management employ better measures in ensuring that booked entertainers do pitch at the event.

We will await a statement from Zuma and his team as well as Aizor Entertainment with this regard.
